![]() ![]() It can support four players and will take plenty of pictures so you can laugh at yourself afterwards. Games vary from bowling (I think we’ve all done this to death on the Wii) to DJ-ing to the less traditional Monkey Rampage. Play 3 was the last and most interesting game in the series on PS2. Especially when playing in front of people like you do in a game store playing a demo, like I do. I never liked 'EyeToy Play' or it's games, because some of them were just too easy, too wierd, or would never keep you entertained for longer that 20 seconds. Family favourites include table tennis and goal-keeping. The Basics: Eye Toy was a cool little gadget for some people to play with. The games are pretty basic and include such favourites as keep ups and plate spinning.Ī big leap in content if nothing else, Play 2 contains 87 games (although technically it’s 12 games and 75 bonus games). Navigate to the folder where you unzipped the drivers you just downloaded. Unplug and then plug your EyeToy again to launch the Found New Hardware wizard. Once you have the drivers downloaded, it’s now time to install your Playstation EyeToy. If you get a high score you can take a snap shot to torment the other players. You’ll have to unzip the drivers to a specific folder that you can easily recall. The first Play games features 12 mini-games, all of which are easy to pick up and understand making it accessible to anyone from a five year old to your gran. It can support four players and will take plenty of pictures so you can laugh at yourself afterwards… Unfortunately a lot of developers clearly weren’t interested so the series remains one of the best uses of the little peripheral. Sony PlayStation 2 EyeToy games were always going to include a party game series it just goes with the territory. Similar to Kinect Labs and the WiiPlay series, the EyeToy Play series was designed as a friendly introduction to all the things you can do with an EyeToy.

![]() Im pretty sure that you can change tubes also. And ive already mentioned the cab room where you can change speakers and move the mic around to get a different sound. No pedals seem to be involved though as you need to add your own from the pedal list. And when you scroll through the presets what you see is the knobs on the amp move. I took a quick look and there is at least over 100 amps, way over. It doesn't work well as a plugin thouth, but it could be UE. There's a ton of amps/pedals, but it really works best with the JamVox interface. I need to go back and look at my JamVox though. But so far, it's far and away the best I've tried. But I can see possibly adding on, and adding on.That $107 can turn into hundreds real quick. With the built in "DAW" it should be good enough for BT type stuff. Just in the demo I have, it has a real nice crunchy Marshall kind of sound. I'm just trying to figure out how much I'll be spending, and I've been at this all night and today so far. In description it says "5 new British amps." Does that mean "in addition to."? To what? I saw a YT vid with the "British Pack" and the guy almost nailed the tone I've been looking for in real amps. I'm trying to find out how many amps it has. It took me some time to realize that you can turn amps off and then choose pedals but it has worked flawlessly for me. My speakers are OK, but not great for guitar. In a bizarre twist, I get great live sound by running my output into the Fender Mustang aux port. I was the best app for me based on my skills and needs and my limited budget.Īs a side note, I upgraded my headphones (Audio Technica M40x) and that made a huge difference for all the apps. Also, I found a way to reduce the cost even further (below the $119 sale price). ![]() I also liked that all manner of customization is possible but I start out with presets and minor tweaks and get great results. I like that it has a 8-track DAW built in and I like the looper. The stuff I tested sounded as good as GR5. Go figure? I already owned a few Amplitube Amps and pedals that were included in another purchase. You can't really demo the amps in Amplitube 4 but you can demo everything else they sell. It hurts me not to buy this and I'm still not sure I was right :( The 15 day unrestricted demo is fantastic. The amp are modeled on "real amps" but loosely and IMO better. It more it's own thing than trying to directly emulate something else. No real Fenderish cleans, limited (but excellent) effects. Every amp, every preset, every effect is wonderful. #6 S-Gear - Absolutely the best sounding of anything I tried. For $200, tho, it's twice my budget and thus eliminated. For $100, it would be my pick hands down. Very complete, great presets, easy to mod easy to navigate but it's expensive compared to the others. I found some tones in this app that were exceptional but the interface is a kludgey maze. It was pretty good, but not particularly better than my Fender Mustang models. Overall it seemed a bit dark sounding to me. The presets varied - some were great some were so-so. It's a small window and somewhat awkward. #2 Bias Fx - I liked the collection of amps and pedals and the ability to upgrade to the pro version later. ![]() If it had some great presets that were easy to use, maybe I would have spent more time. I don't have a strong desire to tweak every aspect of an amp and tis is the main focus of the app. Main Criteria: Must be better than my Fender Mustang. This mostly affected testing as a standalone app. Some worked easily, others took some tweaking or some OS setup (Mac Aggregate Device). First off, there was a bit of a learning curve to get an audio interface connected and working with the software. I'm not qualified to give a detailed review of any of these app but I can give my impressions of each and why I picked Amplitude. Over the last week I tested out a number of guitar amp/ effects apps. Not only does the game load with blinding speed, getting you into the action more quickly than ever before, it also includes a full suite of visual updates, including incredible real-time ray tracing elements, providing the most visually realistic game of cricket ever seen. ![]()
![]() I feel considered worse than a pirate and that makes my angry regarding the huge price of the plug-in… They have 15 years late in the industry and I kinda think they dont really care of their customers. Same here! My USB starts to crackle and I am constantly scared to loose it when traveling. U-he Hive and Zebra are great alternatives! If they stop being so stubborn and abandon that kind of protection. Or just getting another software synth to do the job. ![]() Using a pirated version is a whole lotta easier. As you can see, the whole USB key thing is really not too handy for anyone. Anyway, this was years ago when they were first trying to up-sell Nexus users to the sequel.ĭo you mean to run Nexus 2 simultaneously on your MacBook Pro and desktop computer? You would need two USB eLicensers not sure if you could use the same license on separate eLicensers, though. U-He Hive for the win! Bought and used 1st Nexus plugins and expansions for many years until they decided not to support newer DAW and OS updates without forking over more cash. I have moved away from Nexus a long time ago. Besides, you need an adapter to use them with the new MacBook Pros. Even Adobe has admitted that pirated software actually helps to sustain their position as the de facto standard in the industry because kids download the software first, learn to use it, get a job and then continue to use the same software, so it actually brings them more paying customers. But piracy might not be as bad for them as they think. Yeah, I guess this is the way to prevent piracy.

The geometry of your model probably has some context: a site, a neighborhood, etc. Render a separate layer or ID pass to get only the windows for compositing. Youâll then need to do a normal render as well with the ground shadow and composite the two together externally. Follow the steps as I mentioned in the post to add your desired background and then in the â Environment â tab, change the value of â GI (Skylight) â to a bigger value start with 2 or 5 or 10, 15, 50, etc. When I render, the background image is not showing up. This approach is is actually quite similar in result, but different in process: In the main Asset Editor window, select the Lights option. (as vray wrapper material as shadow catcher) Autodesk is a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software. The Color/Texture HDR option is used to select an image to use as (a) a source of colored illumination, and (b) a background image for reflection and refraction. The scene file with the settings contains customized materials of gold materials, gemstones, and plane material (background) with a transparent shadow on the alpha channel for easy compositing. I use the Vray plugin for Rhino, and after much frustration and experimentation, Iâve finally found a way to create a pure white background: In the Render Options window set the background color to white (255, 255, 255) in the environment panel. ![]()
![]() Personally, my record with Little Nightmares 2’s puzzles is inconsistent. They’re brain-stimulating so you’ll feel like a genius after mastering them, but at the same time, they’re not too difficult that you’ll scream “Oh come on! That’s unfair! Who would get that?” Depending on how perceptive you are, you’ll either be running to YouTubers to find answers or you’ll plow through them like a champ. Overall, I loved Little Nightmares 2’s puzzles. Little Nightmares 2: Mono and Six (Image credit: Future) Unidentified objects blocked my view of Mono, making it difficult to decide the next best move. Getting your character through these pesky mannequins, as mentioned, is like controlling a toy truck as I look in from the outside. On one level that left me damn-near bald from all the frustrated hair-pulling, I had to navigate Mono through a horde of fast-moving, petrifying mannequins. Though you can see the toy truck, some things will undoubtedly block your view. To put it into perspective, playing Little Nightmares 2 is like steering a remote-controlled toy truck inside a boutique while watching it from the storefront window. Little Nightmares 2 is a 3D puzzle platformer with a side-scrolling camera. Little Nightmares 2: Frustrating levels and brain-stimulating puzzles There are some levels, particularly toward the end, that require you to "follow the music" to lead Mono in the right direction.įinally, unlike the first game, Little Nightmares 2 allows you to collect different hats throughout the game, so if you get sick of the stupid paper bag on Mono’s head, you can swap it for a coonskin cap if you find one. Make sure to break out the headphones, too - and not just because Little Nightmares 2 has sweet-sounding, harmonious music-box scores. ![]() Little Nightmares 2: The Thin Man (Image credit: Future) Little Nightmares 2 is like a toxic relationship it drags you through a turbulent rollercoaster of emotions, but you’re not ready to hop off because it’s far too thrilling. Little Nightmares 2 is an infuriating game, but once you finally escape that relentless enemy without dying for the umpteenth time, a euphoric rush of fulfillment takes over and neutralizes the frustration-filled fury that made you want to flip a table.

I can do without CD Burning and all that. Most everyone uses virtual instruments sometime or another in their workflow, if for no other purpose than to easily set up and "audition" possibilities to be recorded later with session musicians. and no ReWire? Seriously? Pretty much every project I record uses a combination of MIDI and audio tracks these days. And it sucks I have to edit those 8-10 tracks individually when I want to do the same edits and fades to the whole group. ![]() No grouping of clips? Really?!!! Have you ever tried recording drums with more than one mic? Yeah, so has everyone else in the universe. But don't mess with the features I came to expect from AA3.0. Upgrade that if you will and send the A/V guys there. and there's no telling whether the old and new girlfriends will get on in the long run either. You got on quite well with the old girlfriend, and she actually liked the junk.īut I wouldn't worry too much about it, because everybody knows that however hard she tries, the new girlfriend can't make you stick to her new rules for ever - your real self will come through in the end, and she'll just have to like it or lump it. New girlfriend is a bit flighty, and given to temper tantrums - wants you to throw out all your old clothes and junk, and get a new wardrobe and smartened up. So in this case, the new girlfriend is the CS and its video users, and the audio-only users are the old one. It's a bit like getting a new girlfriend, whilst still trying to stay friends with your old one - not easy. Music?!* Bah.Īround here, the noise that happens in elevators is universally referred to as 'musak' - to differentiate it from anything with any actual musical merit.īut to your main point - well, whilst I have a lot of sympathy for what you are saying, I think that the real emphasis is perhaps a little different. I must wonder: does Adobe hate musicians? Surely, some high profle posters here doesn't actually argue against that POV. is of course still(sic!) possible to use in your soundtrack - although for how long ? Straight acoustic recordings of classical / jazz / folk etc. Some will not call this approach "music" - and it appears they've won. *That is: music created from various wave recordings and treated within one single environment, like Audition, where one would use a mixture of acoustic recordings, treatments and electronic sources. Adobe really wants me to start saving up for Nuendo now. ![]() ![]() A lot of athmospeheric sounds and sound effects are done with MIDI and VST instruments like Absynth for instance.Ī lot of the features of the new Audition looks promising, and I'd like to start using them, but this is too stoopid. Elevator music is also music ya know.įorgetting about contemporary creation of music (and they have!), even soundscapes will be more difficult now. The new Audition can work with canned loops out of the box only (AFAIK they now even can't auto fit to a session tempo). Now, with so many features being removed, I must wonder: does Adobe hate musicians? Surely, some high profle posters here doesn't actually argue against that POV. Audition is the logical hub, and also a great tool for this. That way you can create original music and soundscapes using Audition's wave editing capabilities directly and also its Multitracker, with video or not. Because you would be able slave your favourite dedicated MIDI sequencer instead. No MIDI (instead of improved MIDI) in the new Audition is kind of 'acceptable'. |
